If you would like to make cards for children in hospitals, please share your creativity with us for the opportunity to win free JuMP merch! You can use cardstock to make handmade cards at home, and let your ideas flow into your artwork! When you have finished a batch of cards, you can send us an email at thejumpinitiative@gmail.com for information on how to distribute the cards.
When making your cards, please adhere to the following guidelines:
Keep the messages upbeat and positive! Avoid messages like "get well soon" or "stay strong" that focus on the child's illness. Instead, try uplifting messages like "Enjoy Your Day" or "Happy Birthday." For holiday cards, include a happy holiday greeting.
Avoid symbols, such as those of religious significance. Hospitals may not know the child's faith, so it's best to avoid religious themes, sayings, or blessings.
Be festive! Use stickers, colored pencils, crayons, or markers to decorate the card. You can also include a colorful drawing.
Feel free to include jokes or riddles inside the cards as well!
We look forward to seeing what you come up with! Here are some examples of cards that you can make for children in hospitals:
